Nonviolent Civil Resistance and Social Movements: Case Studies from Latin America and Bangladesh.
This episode focuses on civil resistance, social movements, and principles of nonviolence tactics and strategies, and people’s power. Both Dr. Hasan, a social worker educator and host of this episode, and Mr. Poncho Hernandez, a Mexican activist and trainer on civil resistance, are fellows of International Centre of Nonviolence Conflict (ICNC). ICNC is a social justice and capacity building agency that supports research, education and activism on nonviolence civil resistance across the globe. This podcast was recorded when Mr. Hernandez was visiting Dr. Hasan at Centennial College, Toronto, Canada.
