Living Vicariously & the Trauma that Binds Series
Society & Culture
Hello folks and welcome back to another episode of the Trauma That Binds Series, a segment of Living Vicariously. Today we have the pleasure of speaking with Aleesha Anaya. She is the proprietor of Creative Mayhem in Stratford ON. She just so happens to be the person who makes our T-Shirts and Sweaters. She also is the mastermind behind Red Script Studios special edition logo.
Unfortunately, she is also a trauma survivor. Today she will be sharing her experiences with domestic violence while simultaneously grieving the loss of her mother.
"I heard through a friend about this podcast and loved the idea of turning my negative experiences into something positive; helping others know they are not alone."
"To others I want them to know that you are stronger than you think. You can get out and you deserve to get out. It's ok to feel hopeless and stuck. It doesn't matter if you've left and went back, you can still get out. Don't lose hope, reach out in any way you feel safe doing so."
