1. The Apostles Prayed Together
Acts 6:2 - So the Twelve called a meeting of all the believers. They said, “We apostles should spend our time teaching the word of God, not running a food program. 3 And so, brothers, select seven men who are well respected and are full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will give them this responsibility. 4 Then we apostles can spend our time in prayer and teaching the word.”
Acts 1:14 - They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus.
Acts 2:42 - All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.
Acts 3:3 - Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o’clock prayer service.
Acts 4:31 - After this prayer, the meeting place shook, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Then they preached the word of God with boldness.
Acts 5:12 - And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch.
2. Jesus Prayed Together
Matthew 6 9 - Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name … “
Matthew 7:7 - “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
Matthew 18:19 - Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
3. Everyone Prayed Together
Acts 7:59 - As they stoned him, Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 He fell to his knees, shouting, “Lord, don’t charge them with this sin!” And with that, he died.
