Urbanists want to tear down Interstates used by 250-300K people everyday & serve as major evacuation routes. Hillsborough MPO just voted to spend federal tax money to study tearing down 10 miles of I-275 when that concept was rejected in their own current planning effort. The fate of FDOT's planned interstate improvements to reduce congestion, fix malfunction junction will be decided at MPO public hearing on June 11, 6pm, County Center 2nd floor Board chamber.
