Our speaker in this series is Michael O’Brien, General Manager of Australia Bay Seafoods.
Michael started working on Prawn trawlers in November 1972 out of Darwin and became a cadet Skipper the following year with Markwell Fisheries He skippered his first vessel 3 years later. After 14 years, prawn fishing in Northern Australia moved into a fleet management position. Michael has been involved in vessel refit for many years and is now the General Manager of Australia Bay Seafoods in Darwin.
