The European Union is behaving like the Trump administration when it comes to increasing its military capacity. That’s according to the Sinn Fein MEP Lynn Boylan. She was referring to EU plans to establish what’s called the European Defence Industrial Development Programme. The European Commission says the aim of the five hundred million euro (€500m) programme is to support the competitiveness and innovative capacity of the EU defence industry. However Lynn Boylan says the EU has enough defence capability already.
