Eclipse Phase ”Continuity” Chapter 1: Continuity Episode 1: Lost Time on Kepler

On the Argonaut research station Kepler, drifting at the edge of the Kuiper Belt, life is supposed to be routine: maintenance checks, ego backups, and long stretches of quiet work in low gravity. For Ellis, Saul, Sorus, and Roland, it’s just another scheduled backup—until they wake up submerged in thick nutrient gel, struggling out of receiving pods with gaps in their memories and the station around them eerily wrong.

Four backup morphs are missing. Environmental systems feel off. Wireless communication is jammed. A familiar doctor bot suddenly speaks with the voice of their Argonaut overseer, Hans, and a simple safety procedure begins to look like something far more deliberate. As the crew pulls themselves together in medical gowns and improvised caution, they must treat their own resurrection as a potential security breach—and the Kepler itself as a crime scene at the edge of nowhere.

About the Chronicle

Eclipse Phase – “Continuity” is a standalone sci-fi horror story set ten years after the Fall, when transhumanity narrowly survived the rogue TITAN AIs that shattered Earth. This one-shot, presented as a Firewall “training XP,” follows a small crew of Argonaut-aligned researchers and specialists as they confront the very real dangers hidden inside a technology that promises immortality.

Drawing on Eclipse Phase’s core themes—backup egos, morphs, identity, and the fragile illusion of safety—“Continuity” lets listeners experience how a routine protocol can unravel into paranoia, sabotage, and existential dread among the stars.
