This week, Emma Sue speaks to Liam Meyer. His father, David, passed away due to COVID 19 at the start of the pandemic. Over the past 18 months, Liam has accomplished more than most have in a lifetime selflessly. Due to restrictions Liam noted how difficult the grieving process was for those without being able to go to their usual support system. He created the Alone Together Facebook Group as a support system for grieving individuals which grew rapidly and garnered a lot of press attention. From there he became involved with Gareth Malone's Choir, founded another campaign to support men's mental health all whilst working for the NHS. A truly inspirational individual, Liam Meyer displays a strength, resilience and optimism like no other.
PIVOT: Following the death of his father DAVID, Liam has created support networks across the UK.
