Similar to human medicine, the veterinary profession has different specialties that enable veterinarians, nurses, and staff to excel at particular topics. Just like your family doctor, family veterinarians are the front line of care that support most of you and your pet’s needs, from preventative care all the way to life-saving surgery. Collaboration with or referral to veterinary specialists has usually been reserved for the worst-of-the-worst conditions, or the most frustrating cases. However, on this show Dr. Bret Moore, a veterinary ophthalmologist, will discuss that true collaboration in veterinary practice means working together on a regular basis, and will share how it benefits pets, pet owners, and even veterinary professionals. We will discuss how current research and communication methods are improving our collaborative methods and opening up doors to be able to provide your pet with the best possible care in the most effective way possible.
