Seeking a job where you'll feel that your work is recognized and appreciated? You might want to consider being a caregiver. This could be a great career option for those who have a heart for others. You don't have to be a CNA, but it can help. You can quickly get a CNA certification needed through a local community college and it only takes about 6 weeks. Caring for others is often very flexible, so its a good choice when you're going to school, or you only want to work part-time. Persons with disabilities often make excellent caregivers, because of their focus and attentiveness to others. The goal of in-home caregiving is to keep seniors living in their own homes, with their familiar surroundings, instead of re-locating to a nursing home. This job can be a great stepping stone, to other jobs in the medical field.
