In this episode I talk with Zak Slayback on the work of John Taylor Gatto who unfortunately passed away late last year. Zak and I discuss JTG's work on the dangers of forced schooling and how it has affected our own lives.
John Taylor Gatto (December 15, 1935 – October 25, 2018) was an American author and school teacher who taught in the classroom for nearly 30 years. He devoted much of his energy to his teaching career, then, following his resignation, authored several books on modern education criticizing its ideology, history, and consequences.
Zak wrote the foreword to JTG’s book Dumbing Us Down: The Hidden Curriculum of Compulsory Schooling.
