If you’re in the mood to try something new and eccentric, you can almost always count on TikTok for inspiration. So, the idea of vabbing is inserting clean fingers into your clean vagina and dabbing your vaginal fluids onto your pressure points (wrists, neck, and behind the ears), and using it as perfume. According to Healthline, our vag fluids contain pheromones and its smell is our “sexual scent of attraction.” Who knew? Vabbing had already been written about in books prior to going viral online, but TikTok has put the idea in front of the masses. TikToker Mandy Lee was the first to bring vabbing to social media, and now more and more women are revealing stories of men falling at their feet thanks to the unconventional seduction method. Vabbing works on the theory of pheromones. Pheromone research is nothing new, and the study of human chemical communication has been widely investigated. It was once believed that all mammals – humans included – could attract a mate of the same species by secreting signals through scent. However, its role in humans remains uncertain and unproven. What are the health implications of vabbing? No matter your feelings on the subject, if you want to try vabbing, you’ll need to practice good hygiene. It’s important to be aware of your sexual status when it comes to sharing your bodily fluids. Let’s not forget that STIs still exist. Dr. Oakley & Holly will go over some of the tips on vabbing in this episode, like: • ● Washing your hands both before and after • ● Not allowing areas you’ve ‘vabbed’ to touch anything or anyone • ● Wiping down gym equipment before and after use • ● Refraining from vabbing if you’re on your period or have an STI • ● Making sure you get checked by a professional if you think you sense an unusual or bad odor Thank you, ladies, for listening.
