Business Infrastructure - Curing Back Office Blues
Business:Entrepreneurship
“Never take advice from someone who has nothing to lose by giving it.” That quote comes from investor, business coach, and digital marketing aficionado, Darrell Evans. It’s a credo that guides him in giving practical tips, tactics, and strategies that lead to profitable results.
Over 20 years ago, a bright-eyed Darrell finished college with a degree in finance and an expectation to do big things on Wall Street. As fate would have it, his first job instead landed him in financial sales where he eventually transitioned into the mortgage industry.
Twice bitten by the entrepreneurial bug, he started his own mortgage company and later a digital marketing agency. His knack for being an early adopter of digital technologies to market his business was a key factor in keeping his mortgage company afloat during the 2008 U.S. recession. It also caused others to take notice of Darrell’s unique approach to leverage the internet to survive the economic uncertainty and his uncanny ability to understand customer behavior.
By 2012, he and his business partner met the owner of an auto body shop who, though already successful, wanted to scale to the next level. In this episode Darrell takes us back to that moment when they applied their 6-step framework that incorporated internet marketing in the age of Web 2.0 during a time when things like YouTube and LinkedIn were barely a part of the collective conscious.
Backed by an original musical score, this scale tale is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat as Darrell gives you the insights needed to better understand how you can tailor products and services based on your customers’ psychology and put a business infrastructure in place to support it.
