Anthropic just shipped Claude Sonnet 5, its most agentic Sonnet yet, landing near Opus 4.8 performance at a much lower price, Meanwhile OpenAI announced GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna, but at the US government's request the flagship is only available to a small list of vetted partners.
