ABOUT THOMAS MOBLEY Thomas Mobley, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, is a dedicated educator and HR consultant with a career spanning over three decades. His journey into teaching began nearly 40 years ago with an opportunity to work on a labor-management training program alongside one of his Miami University undergraduate professors and an FMCS Federal Mediator. This experience ignited his passion for teaching. As a professor, Thomas brings a wealth of knowledge and a dedication to student development that empowers the next generation of HR professionals. He obtained his BS in Business from Miami University and is MALER Degree from the University of Cincinnati. In education, Thomas has been an Assistant Professor and Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati, and an Instructor at Miami University. Additionally, he has taught graduate courses for Dalian University of Technology's International Graduate program in Dalian, China. His HR Succeeds model for student success combines mentors, active involvement in various networking opportunities, and encouragement/support for HR Certification. He excels at translating theory into practical examples, and utilizes case studies as a cornerstone of his teaching strategy, empowering students to actively apply their learning. Beyond his educational roles, Thomas operates his HR consulting practice and has been involved in various HR positions at different organizations, contributing his knowledge and expertise to students and professionals alike. He has also co-authored HR and Organizational Behavior textbooks as well as an HR Scrimmage Workbook, a valuable resource for HR students and professionals preparing for certification exams. His HR Certification Preparation Courses boast an 85% success rate for HR Professionals who go on to take their HR Certification exam.
