Central Intelligence: Series 3: Episode 6

Richard Helms has finally reached the top of the CIA. Now he has to prove the Agency deserves to be heard. In Vietnam, the Pentagon insists America is winning. The CIA’s own intelligence tells a darker story: the enemy is larger, stronger and more resilient than Washington wants to believe. LBJ demands evidence, and Helms must stand behind an estimate that challenges everything the military is telling him. But Vietnam is not the only crisis. In the Middle East, tensions between Israel, Syria, Egypt and Jordan are moving towards a confrontation that could pull in the superpowers. As Helms begins his tenure as CIA Director, he faces the hardest task in Washington: telling a President the truth before events outrun him.
