In this episode we introduce you to Dr Jen Cooney, an expert health physiologist and certified health coach. She has a long and varied career, working predominantly in research and academia with a focus on supporting health and wellbeing in people with chronic disease.
About Dr Jen Cooney
Dr Jen is a health physiologist, University Lecturer and Researcher at Bangor University and a certified health coach. She has been researching and working in the area of health and well-being since 2004, and through her work she has helped and supported people of all ages to improve their current and future health and well-being.
Dr Jen has a personal and professional interest in women's health (including PCOS, primary ovarian insufficiency, perimenopause and menopause). Through her research, applied work and collaborations with the NHS, Dr Jen also has extensive experience working with people living with additional health challenges, e.g. arthritis, cancer, diabetes, obesity, heart disease, kidney disease, autoimmune conditions, anxiety and depression. Her research in this field has been published in many peer-reviewed scientific journals.
