Now what’s really exciting is that digital health care offers a huge number of opportunities, spanning everything from the use of high-tech tools to new communications approaches… all of which are designed to improve the health of patients and the overall population.
My guest today, Neal Sofian, is an expert on the digital health care space. On this episode, Neal discusses such things as (1) the evolution of digital technology in health care, (2) what he sees as the next phase in the use of digital technology to address health care issues, (3) the role of motivation and personalization in getting people to make changes in their health care behavior, and (4) some differences in how the U.S. health care system operates vs. other industrialized nations.
Of particular importance, Neal lays out numerous opportunities he sees presenting themselves as the use of digital health evolves. This involves not only AI-related opportunities, but many others, too. Neal then provides some excellent tips for those who want to pursue these opportunities.

Neal is currently the CEO of Tuzag, Inc., a relationship AI, omni-channel health concierge company. Their AI-driven SaaS platform delivers one-to-one longitudinal computer mediated conversations, content, and service offerings with a focus on building relationships to change consumer behavior, across any communication channel.
Previously, Neal commercialized the first and largest telephonic smoking cessation coaching program in the United States, Free & Clear, and the first telephonic diabetes coaching service in the US. He was responsible for early health-related social networking platforms, including the American Cancer Society's Cancer Survivors Network.
