Kailey Newkirk // It’s important to understand what the words someone is saying actually mean before we try and draw our own conclusions. Sounds pretty simple, until we read a letter from many, many years ago. That’s when it’s helpful to gather context and insight from others. And that’s when we can discover things we might never find in God’s word by ourselves. We find that “the greatest of these is love” is more than a sweet sentiment but actually a charge for how to live. Love is the framework through which God shows us the most excellent way to serve and understand those around us—even when it’s difficult and we need strength from him to guide us.
