Doug Foley // As we wrap up Acts Movement II, we discuss Paul’s farewell to the Ephesian elders. He is eager to continue the mission God has for him, but is confident that he will not return to Ephesus, that jail and suffering await him in the future. He understands the cost of being a witness of Jesus. Understanding this cost is important to continuing God’s work. We can learn from Paul that we often must accept the difficulties that lay ahead of us and decide how we each live lives that show love to others and glorify God. We were saved by grace, and this truth also empowers us to walk in newness of life.
