My friend and cohost, Mike Wilkerson, received a vague email promising “8–15 qualified guests every four weeks” using a “pay for performance” model, without advertising. While I appreciate short and sweet, brevity isn't enough. This email was missing some critical information to know whether it was worth pursuing.

I share my thoughts on what's missing, what you might want to do first if you receive a pitch like this and want to know more, and one thing that should be a non-negotiable.
