By request, Tariq & Bubba are covering an original series on the Amazon Prime streaming platform, Jack Ryan, starring John Krasinski(The Office) and Wendell Pierce (The Wire). In addition to talking about the acting, direction, plot and so forth, Bubba takes a moment to give an impromptu course on some technical points of studio production, and explaining why some projects end up presented the way they do. Overall, we both thought this was a solid show that told a story with nuance and complexity, in what could have been a tired retread where American exceptionalism is established by demonizing Muslims, and Islam.
