Eleanor Rogan has been involved in ground breaking research that has helped uncover a preventable cause of cancer development related to unbalanced estrogen metabolism. Her early work on tumor initiation by catechol quinones of estrogens established a unified mechanism for the development of breast, prostate and other human cancers. This work has recently resulted in tests that will help with early detection, and chemoprevention with natural substances such as resveratrol, n-acetylcystiene and functional medicine-based clinical interventions.
