Does your tribe know your story?
Heck, do you even know what your story is?
In this weeks Fitnesspreneur's Life Show, you're going to learn 3 ways to improve your story and improve your business.
Mark Fisher, owner of Mark Fisher Fitness and the leader of the Ridiculous Humans (his gym members) was so intriguing to me at NorCal Fitness Summit that I had to learn more about how he tells story to build an insane culture most people would never dare attempt.
Mark is well-read, insanely smart, and pretty frickin’ cool.
The latest guest on my podcast, Mark Fisher, teaches you how to create a ninja style culture and environment, how to get feedback, and how to best tell your story.
Feedback from Ninjas
Mark is crazy about constantly getting feedback from the ninjas (what he calls his tribe), about what is working and what is not working.
If you can develop a culture where your clients and your customers are constantly giving you feedback, you can continue to steer the ship and make sure you’re honoring both of those.
1) AUTOMATED EMAILS
When someone joins, set up an automated series of emails they get over the first two months. This is a new opportunity to on-board your clients into your brand, welcome them to valuable information, make them feel special and indoctrinate them into your culture.
2) THE EIGHT WEEK CHECK UP
Eight weeks into their new agreement, send them an email with the subject line, “QQ -- Quick Question.” In that email, use the net promoters score (look it up), it's a simple system of evaluating the happiness quotient and likelihood that your members will refer, to see how you are doing.
Follow up with everyone, but change what you say depending on the score. If they aren’t happy, see what you can do to make it right and really build some value so that they don’t go running to that sale down the road.
3) TELLING YOUR STORY
All marketing, fundamentally, is a story.
It’s important to know your own story.
Where were you before fitness? What was your journey like that you chose fitness as a way of life? What was the turning point in your story?
.
Sometimes, we lose perspective and use where we are as motivation for others, but our members don’t always see it that way. Instead, they feel intimidated, like they can never workout with you, and that you are going to judge them.
Keep on your mission to help go change this world one person at a time so that we can create a world that leads by example and not by opinion.
Don’t stop getting after it.
You’re the visionaries that are going to change this world.
