Comedian He Huang joins Myf to talk about her unlikely path from being raised in China, studying public policy in the US to becoming one of Australia's most exciting stand-up comedians. They dig into why stand-up comedy barely exists in China's collectivist culture, the strict censorship she has to navigate when performing there, and the growing wave of young female Chinese comedians using dark humour to talk openly about trauma, divorce and gender politics, a scene that mirrors a much bigger global shift in how women are rejecting the roles they were raised to expect.
