January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. HPV (or human papillomavirus) can cause cervical cancer. HPV vaccines can prevent the infection that can lead to this and other types of cancer. On this episode of Cancer Conversations, Dr. Pamela Hull shares information about HPV and the HPV vaccine, including when recipients should begin getting the vaccination. This information is very important for parents of pre-teen and teens.
Cancer Conversations on Talking FACS is a partnership project between Family and Consumer Sciences Extension and the Markey Cancer Center.
