Dr. Brian Dixon earned his Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology from Oregon State University in affiliation with the Linus Pauling Institute. His research focused on the underlying biochemical mechanisms of the aging process and the therapeutic potential of R-alpha lipoic acid.
He and his work have been featured on, among others, The Dr. Oz Show. He has authored a number of scientific, peer-reviewed manuscripts on topics such as cancer, antioxidants, cellular signaling, gene regulation, stress coping mechanisms, Nrf2, weight management, sports nutrition, and recovery following intense exercise. Dr. Dixon has also published research on the role of nutrition in recovery from surgery, healthy inflammation response, immunity, the aging process, and nutrients such as glutathione, vitamin D, plant polyphenols, and other phytonutrients. He has worked in the nutritional industry for more than 10 years in a variety of executive health and science education and product innovation capacities and has been a co-inventor on no fewer than seven filed patents related to the nutritional industry.
