Across the Atlantic from everything happening in the other stories, this takes place in the alternate London of the new timeline. In that twice-burned city now lies an immense portal to another world, occasionally named Kelador.
From this dimension journeyed forth two new fantastical species, both of which took up residence alongside the surviving humans. The short ones came to rule, the huge ones just need to work to feed their families, and a band of misfit outlaws spark the flames of revolution.
A feisty princess is about to meet these vagabonds and decide to pretty much kidnap herself. Much fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chasing, escaping, true love and miracles ensue, and in due course both worlds will feel the rippling effects of all of that messy thrilling business.
There’s also a unicorn that swears. He’s worth the price of entry alone.
