Unconscious parenting is when we are unaware that past programming, triggers, and baggage are being played out in our relationships with our children.
Self-conscious parenting is when we are super aware of other people's perceived views and opinions about us. We may feel constantly judged and feel that our parenting skills and decisions are being evaluated.
Conscious parenting is when we strive to become aware of our past programming and how it impacts our relationship with our children. It's not about being perfect but it's about being aware of what's not working and taking responsibility for making changes.
Feelings of failure, guilt, and shame in parenting really shape how parents view themselves and how they then show up with their children. My guest today is going to share where these feelings come from and what we can do about them.
Meet Tania Lopez.
Tania is a qualified and experienced parenting coach specializing in helping stressed-out and overwhelmed mums to enjoy parenting. Tania has worked with families for over 20 years and for the last 15 years has worked as a qualified teacher delivering parenting, confidence building and stress management programs. She is also a trained counselor and hypnotherapist. Tania has been featured in several podcasts and radio shows and shared her expertise in the international Strong-Willed Child Summit as well as The Awakening to a New World Summit. Tania loves using all her skills, knowledge, and expertise to help mums feel more confident and competent and feels passionate about changing the way mums and children are viewed in society and by themselves.
