Tracie Potts was always up for a challenge. After two decades as an NBC News reporter, and working the very early morning hours, and covering some of the biggest stories of the 21st Century, she was used to challenges.

She is the Executive Director of the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg College. And while she didn't know it at the time, everything she learned as a journalist prepared her for this new chapter of life.
