Machiavellianism involves a willingness to manipulate and exploit others for personal gain, often through deceit and cunning. Psychopathy is characterized by a lack of remorse, empathy, and impulse control, often leading to impulsive and antisocial behavior. These traits can be found in varying degrees in individuals, and while they may provide certain advantages in certain contexts, they are generally associated with negative outcomes for both the individual and those around them.
