Today’s episode is about livestock being under attach: both from the inside AND outside. In the first half of my chat with Dr John Gilleard from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary, we focus on inside attackers, namely parasites. We explore the history of parasites, why cattle producers may be leaving dollars on the table and the importance of good grazing management to control internal parasites.
After a fist look at internal attacks, we then dive into the world of wildlife predation with Forage Fact sheet number 66; Dealing with Predators and problem wildlife.
