KNEL hosted a Candidate Forum on Monday, April 24, 2023. The Forum included the candidates for
All of the Candidates in the contested races for Brady City Council, Brady Mayor and the Brady ISD Board of Trustees participated in the Forum. Each candidate had an opportunity to outline who they are; why they are running for the office; and to offer their reasoning as to why the voters should select that person for the post.
Brady City Council – Candidates for the Place 4 seat are Tony Groves and Felix Gomez.
Brady Mayor – A Special election will be held May 6 to fill the unexpired term for Mayor, following the resignation of former Mayor Tony Groves in January. Four candidates filed for the Mayoral election — James Griffin, Aaron Garcia, Robert Fowler and Joe Sanchez.
Brady ISD – Two seats on the BISD Board expire this year. Reed Williams is seeking re-election to the SMD 3 seat on the School Board. He is opposed by Charles Bush who filed as write-in candidate for the seat.
