Jude Williams was awarded the Senior Professional in Human Resources, (SPHR) from the Society of Human Resources in 2000. She received her Bachelors of Science in Business Education from the University of Illinois and has completed coursework towards her Masters in Organization Development. Jude has over 20 years working in all general areas of human resources which has given her a deep understanding of how organizations can rise or fall based on how well strategic and tactical human resource goals are developed and achieved. As a Human Resource Consultant for various public and private entities she has advised business owners and management on the development of human resource policies and procedures, employee handbook verbiage and appropriate job descriptions and workflow process changes that led to a 30% reduction in turnover.
She has conducted over 50 compensation and classification studies and FLSA audits of exempt and non-exempt positions for the public sector and over 20 for the private sector. She has mentored, taught and coached other Human Resource professionals. Jude recognizes Human Resource needs within all sizes and types of organizations and assists in implementing the appropriate level of human resource functions within growing organizations. She consistently helps business owners find the right balance between employment law compliance and financial and overall business success.
Oceans of Opportunities, a virtual Human Resource Consulting firm was started in Iowa in 2000. In 2004, it relocated to the Phoenix area but was somewhat dormant until 2010 when need for Human Resource services of small and mid-sized businesses increased. Now, nearing 140 clients, Oceans of Opportunities is looking forward to the new year and even more growth.
