Formlabs has launched its Open Platform offering, enabling Form SLA 3D printing system users to utilize third-party materials and customize their print settings. Since its establishment in 2011, Formlabs had retained strict control over the resins used in its Form series of SLA systems, providing users with a choice of 45 proprietary resins. While this approach ensured quality, it limited users who preferred materials from trusted third-party suppliers.
