In Episode 358 of Storycomic Presents, host Barney Smith is thrilled to welcome back RW Nunley and to introduce Dean Page for a deep dive into their latest collaboration, 'The Return of Jake Sunrise' Issue 6. This episode explores the creative synergy between Dean, a school teacher turned comic book writer from New Jersey, and RW, a seasoned artist with over two decades of experience in comics and illustration.
'The Return of Jake Sunrise' is a gripping series set in a supernatural, weird west universe, where each issue features the eerie adventures of Jake Sunrise, a speechless vaquero with a mysterious past and a werewolf's curse. Issue 6 promises even darker twists as Jake and a new character, The Lad, pursue a menacing ghoul through haunted swamps, unveiling more about the mystical and malevolent forces at play.
Join us as Dean and RW share insights into their collaborative process, the challenges of weaving complex narratives with multiple artists, and their vision for the series. They also discuss what fans can expect from this latest installment and the evolution of Jake Sunrise’s character across the series.
