How do you successfully create a new career and one that you love? This week I'm in conversation with Karel Mc Intosh - Director of Training & Marketing at Livewired Group, a communication training consultancy based in Trinidad
Leveraging 16 years of experience in marketing, corporate communication, and social media, Karel Mc Intosh nurtures effective communicators. She has delivered training for top-tier organisations like First Citizens, ANSA McAL, Massy Group, and the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago. Brands trust her to train their teams in public speaking, social media marketing, business writing, workplace communication, and anything communication related.
Karel has also been a feature speaker at events like the US Embassy & Caribbean Public Health Agency Zika Tech Camp in Barbados, and the 10th Caribbean Conference on Comprehensive Disaster Management in the Bahamas.
The first Trinidadian to earn a spot at the Branson Centre of Entrepreneurship (she eventually withdrew from the programme), she also placed as a finalist for “Magazine Launch of the Year” in the 2010 Global Digital Magazine Awards for her startup Outlish.com.
Karel holds an MSc in Corporate Communication (Distinction) from Thames Valley University (UK), and a BSc in Government with a minor in International Relations (Upper Second Class Honours) from the University of the West Indies.
