With COVID-19 vaccine eligibility opening up across the country, MercyOne infectious disease expert Dr. Ravi Vemuri returns to the podcast to encourage everyone to get their shot when they have the chance.
The three vaccines approved for use in the United States at this time include the Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. All three vaccines are very effective at preventing serious illness, even against the COVID-19 variants now circulating.
Dr. Vemuri also lets us know about some promising new studies that came out in the past week.
A reminder -- after you have been vaccinated, it is still important to wear a mask, wash your hands and socially distance.
