#557 August 2026 Energy Update: Who You Build With, Who You Cut

In today's episode I'm joined by Yvette Mayer (HD Transits Expert) and Lauren Hansen (Resident Astrologer) for the August energy update, and the whole month turns on one question: who are you building it with? In Human Design we move out of the throat-centre gates and into the quarter of duality, so the focus shifts off what you're making and onto your relationships. In astrology it lands from the same direction, with Venus moving home into Libra and Mars dropping into Cancer. It's a relational, reflective and at times emotional month, with two eclipses reshaping who's in your corner. The gates and dates we cover are listed below, so you can check them against your own chart.KEY DATES FOR AUGUSTAstrology (with Lauren)23 Jul: Mercury stations direct, carrying easier communication into August.Late Jul into early Aug: Venus square Mars (Venus in Virgo, Mars in Gemini), over-stimulation and a pull toward discernment, quality over quantity.6 Aug to 9 Sep: Venus at home in Libra, collaboration, harmony and easier relating.6 to 11 Aug: Venus trine Uranus and Pluto, opposite Neptune. Surprising new people and real chemistry, with a reminder to check the details before you idealise anyone.11 Aug to 28 Sep: Mars in Cancer, driven by what and who you care about, protective of home and family, with a passive-aggression risk to watch.12 Aug: Leo solar eclipse (new moon) with the south node and Jupiter. Confidence, creativity and identity, letting go of an old way of leading to grow into the next.15 Aug: Mercury conjunct Jupiter in Leo, a strong day for announcements, pitching, launching and sharing your voice.19 to 22 Aug: Venus opposite Saturn in Aries, defining relationships, setting boundaries and keeping what lasts.23 to 29 Aug: Sun square Uranus, restlessness and aha moments, so ground yourself before any big impulsive calls.28 Aug (AUS): Pisces lunar eclipse (full moon) near the north node, squared by Uranus.
