Surviving COVID-19 with Terrica Parks

Terrica Parks, mother, entrepreneur and at 28 years old is a COVID 19 survivor living in Albany Georgia. At the end of March 2020, Albany's death rate rivaled major cities like New York hitting 32.9 deaths per 100,000 people. A rate 67% higher than what New York was seeing at that time.Parks contracted the virus in early March and it took 5 days of hospitalization for her to recover. In this episode, Terrica discusses her journey with COVID19, her battle to survive and her hope for the future. She is urging members of her community In Albany, Georgia and beyond to stay home. Charis, a mom of three with many titles reflects on life, work and motherhood with Lupus. Lupus is an inflammatory disease which has been found to be three times more likely in African American women than our Caucasian counterparts. Having been diagnosed at such a young age with no prior trace of the disease in her family, Charis was unsure how it would impact her life or her ability to have children.
