Two well known women in the travel industry have joined forces to help educate colleagues across the travel industry about the menopause and offer shared support.Travel Talks Menopause with Lindsay Garvey-Jones - Holiday Extras and Julie Nunes - Silversea Cruises With 1 in 3 women experiencing some of the, 34 and counting, symptoms of peri menopause and menopause and that 8 in 10 of those will have noticeable symptoms, 45% of which will struggle to cope and leads to over 10% of those women (900k) who then leave their jobs due to the negative affects in motivation and performance. Julie & Lindsay have an aim and a vision to open up conversations and normalise the language used, particularly in the workplace. From hosting regular podcasts to quarterly Menopause Cafes both virtually and in person, with guest speakers. Whilst Julie & Lindsay aren’t experts or medical practitioners, they are passionate to open the conversation and be able to signpost those who need to make choices or get expert advice Travel Talks Menopause is for all ages and all gender identities to help support those who identify as women to cope better, feel heard and seen and be able to make informed choices by sharing experiences around issues in both personal and professional spaces.
