Do I Have A Place In Politics?
In April of 2024 our class went to Washington DC, where we stayed for three days and two nights. We met members of congress, staffers, and political consultants. We also took numerous tours through major governmental buildings as well as museums. This podcast is a reflection on our trip and our experiences. Winter Pageant 2023
For the third year in a row we are covering the Q studio Winter Pageant. This year the classes K-9th performed a variety of different things from singing to storytelling. History of the Olmecs by Lucas and Bay
Over the last few weeks the third and fourth graders have been working on a group research project in Native Peoples. This unit we studied three Mesoamerican civilizations called the Olmec, Maya and Aztec. Each group had to research various facts about the assigned civilizations by using resources such as the internet and books found at the Sunnyside Public Library. Together they worked on a poster where all the information was put into detailed paragraphs describing the various elements of the civilization like agriculture, homes, beliefs, art, clothing and games. They were tasked with finding information about the Olmec arts/crafts, homes/tribes, and sports.
The Mayan Way of Living by Vivianna and Dominic
