Michael E. O’Hanlon is the Sydney Stein, Jr. Chair and director of research in foreign policy at the Brookings Institution. He has been named one of the “most influential people” in national security and defense by Washingtonian. His vast experience includes roles with the CIA, a Congressional budget office, the Peace Corps, and the Institute for Defense Analyses, among other organizations.
