Living Wholehearted Podcast With Jeff and Terra
Kids & Family:Parenting
If you’ve been keeping up with our podcasts, you will notice that this is the third episode in our March series about women in leadership. We have been taking time to talk about the various topics that are near and dear to many women and those who are leading the way. Do you ever wonder how you can make a difference, use your voice, or be used by God? This episode is for you.
Today’s guest is Lisa DaSilva, a wife, mom of two teenagers, and advocate for women to love God with their heart, soul and mind as they engage in responsible study of His Word. With an M.Ed in Curriculum Development and a teacher by trade and passion, Lisa writes, speaks, and teaches the Bible to anyone who will read or listen. She is the director of Arise Ministries Collective in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Women are good at dismissing their contributions to the world, but Lisa believes every woman has a voice and she longs for the day when they find freedom to use it for the glory of God and the furthering of His Kingdom. In this episode, Lisa shares the value of staying rooted in God’s Word, her own journey to leadership and starting Arise, as well as how she is stepping into hard areas where women are found voiceless. She partners with Thefreedomchallenge.org and is climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to help free those who are sex trafficked. Her most recent Bible study is called What the Lord Requires: A Six-Week Study of Micah 6:6-8.
