This week, in the wake of a deadly pandemic, we're called upon in our dreams, to come to Hemingford Home and stand alongside Mother Abagail in the ultimate battle between good and evil.
The Stand is a post-apocalyptic dark fantasy novel written by Stephen King and first published in 1978. It was recently adapted by Josh Boone as a CBS All Access miniseries but has made its way to TV previously in the 1990s. The novel has received critical acclaim and is regarded as one of King's best works. It has been included in lists of the best books of all time by Rolling Stone, Time, the Modern Library, Amazon, and the BBC.
