In this episode, we discuss what it was was like in ancient Athens for a young girl or boy from birth to adolescence, by looking at the various rites of passages they must surpass on the way to becoming citizens, as well as the Athenian education system (both Old and New) and the training young boys would undertake in order to be accepted as a hoplite warrior
