Originally making a name for themself as the lead singer of the glam rock band, Semi Precious Weapons, Justin Tranter has transitioned to a behind-the-scenes role, effortlessly becoming one of the most successful songwriters working today. They've written for the biggest names in pop music including Selena Gomez, Britney Spears, Janelle Monae, Justin Bieber, Halsey, Ariana Grande, Gwen Stefani, and Kelly Clarkson. They join us this week to talk about why their "femme queerness" is so overwhelming to people, how the opportunity to write pop music happened by accident, and why we need to stop calling straight women "gay icons."
