DAVID FRIENDLY is a film writer, producer, and entertainment executive. Begining as a journalist with Newsweek and the Los Angeles Times, David was hired by Imagine Entertainment, where he became VP of Motion Pictures under Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. There he produced "My Girl", "My Girl 2", and "For Love or Money". He founded Friendly Productions in 2000, and with 20th Centruy Fox, produced the hugely successful "Big Momma's House" and sequel, and "Laws of Attraction" starring Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore. In 2006, his film "Little Miss Sunshine" was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture, as well at the BAFTA Award for Best Picture, and took home the Independent Spirit Award for Best Feature.
