UL’s Formula Student Team Took On One Of Europe’s Biggest Student Engineering Competitions

Engineering talent from the Mid-West is making its mark on the international stage, as the University of Limerick's Formula Student team headed to Silverstone to compete in one of Europe’s biggest student engineering competitions.   The team has spent the past year designing, building and testing its own Formula-style race car, combining innovation, teamwork and practical engineering skills.   To tell us about the project, the competition and the journey behind the car, Derrick Lynch was joined by Newmarket-on-Fergus resident Jack Haverty, one of FSUL’s engineering team leads.
