In this show, Leh and Todd explore a relatively new form of counseling that is a great step to consider taking before filing for divorce. There are many situations where one spouse has completely checked out of the marriage while the other is committed to saving the marriage. When the committed spouse convinces the 'checked out' spouse to attend marriage counseling, it is often only because the checked out spouse wants to simply check the 'counseling box.' Discernment Counseling is something different. In many cases, it is a better alternative to marriage counseling or immediately filing for divorce. Matt Driggers visits the studio to explain Discernment Counseling and how it can be a great option if one spouse is considering divorce.
